Overview

The Nomad Book Weight was born out of a desire to have a no fuss, packable book weight while traveling. To that end the Nomad begins with a high quality leather strap mated to solid brass bars for weight (which will also take on a beautiful patina over time). These Nomads utilize solid brass binding posts and feature either solid brass snaps or button head studs for closure. 

Leather

All custom Nomads feature Italian Vachetta leather, which we've found to be just the right balance between firmness and suppleness. The edges feature a soft bevel and the underside is a roughout texture.

Other Notes

Anti-slip pads on the bottoms of the weights are just grippy enough to keep things in place but not so grippy as to harm the pages.

Keep in mind that natural brass will tarnish in time and lose its brightness. Periodic cleaning with a high quality metal cleaner is recommended if the brighter finish is desired, but not recommended with this product as the cleaner may stain the leather strap.
