"That is curiously heavy. What's it made of?" This is the question we most often have asked of us when we have a chance to put the Curiously Heavy Book Weight into a person's hand. Perhaps we've filled it with osmium (twice the weight of lead) or maybe just maybe it's the inside of a neutron star (one teaspoon would weigh a billion tons). In any case, the second question is inevitably "How did you get it in there?" While that would be a fun question to answer, even more fun is a conversation piece that doubles as a wonderfully functional book weight.
The Curiously Heavy Book Weight is made of solid (almost) walnut with our signature anti-slip pads on the bottom, meaning it won't go sliding around which makes it paricularly useful if you have your book propped up at an incline. The shape incorporates a gentle curve that keeps the weight from teeter tottering over the spine when in place, and it's "can of soda" heft means even stubborn springy paperback pages will be held at bay.
