The Anomaly line is functionally identical to the Standard line Penwell, but it's composed of aesthetically unique pieces.  Once in awhile a distinctive grain pattern or coloration surfaces, and rather than include it among the Standard line it's just more fun to make it an option all its own.  This allows the idiosyncratic character of this particular Penwell to find a home with someone similarly idiosyncratic in character.
